Beamon allows people to create sport challenges in various disciplines and compete with other users of the Beamon community.
Users get an application for their smart phone, a set of simple sensors that can be attached to their body and/or their gear, and access to a community web site where they can publish challenges.
The sensors automatically track data like speed, height of jumps, or rotation movements while performing challenges. Results are uploaded to the community web site where people can compare their performance to other people. They are able to view their final results in competitions, but also get a playback of their performance to analyze errors.
Developers are actively involved to create new sensor-set ups for new types of sports and challenges.
